Originally from Ventura County, Nilu Rustomji PA-C obtained her undergraduate degree in psychology at UCLA. She then worked as a clinical research coordinator at a psychiatric clinic in Beverly Hills for four years where she had hands-on experience with a variety of patients that motivated her to pursue further education in medicine.
Nilu went on to attend physician assistant school at Duke University, and upon graduating, moved back home to California to begin her career as a PA working at a private dermatology clinic in Santa Barbara.
While Nilu was trained primarily in medical and surgical dermatology, she was exposed to aesthetic medicine and truly fell in love with it. It has become her passion to help patients feel their most beautiful and confident selves by enhancing their natural beauty through aesthetic medicine.

Prior to joining Skin by Lovely, I was at a dermatology clinic in Santa Barbara doing medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. The more exposure I had to aesthetic medicine, the more I fell in love!
It just so happens I was looking to relocate back to Los Angeles and discovered Skin by Lovely.
I feel lucky to have found a practice where I can focus solely on injectables in the city I love!
I feel like my background in psychology is helpful as an Injection Specialist because in aesthetic medicine we are often discussing sensitive topics for patients.
Being able to offer a warm and empathetic approach is important to me so my patients feel comfortable during their treatment.
I would look for an injector who is approachable and listens well.
It’s important for you and your injector to work together as a team. Having good communication with each other can make all the difference!
