10 Questions with Stacey Phelps
Known (and loved) for her carefree, warm, and compassionate nature, Stacey Phelps PA-C...
Stacey is known by her patients as a compassionate health care provider. She received her undergraduate degree from UCLA in 2004 and graduated from the Master’s Level Physician Assistant program at Samuel Merritt University in 2008. During her professional career prior to joining Skin by Lovely she specialized in facial rejuvenation, dermatology, and general medicine in the San Francisco area with a recent focus on “wholistic” dermatology after returning to Los Angeles in early 2012. Stacey is a national trainer for Galderma, training clinicians from around the U.S. on the use of Restylane, Restylane Lyft, and Dysport.
With extensive education and training to match her artistic judgment, she strategically administers cosmetic injectables. In fact, Stacey honed her clinical skills with facial fillers and anti-wrinkle treatments at one of the busiest & most reputable aesthetic practices in San Francisco: under the advanced training of major manufacturers such as Allergan, Medicis, and Merz.
Board certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants, Stacey also maintains membership with the American Association of Physician Assistants, California Academy of Physicians Assistants, and Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, through which she continues her education learning and applying the newest advancements in skin health and aesthetics. Stacey is committed to enhancing her patients’ natural, unique appearances through cosmetic skin treatments, as well as facilitating a graceful and natural aging process.
I was exposed to Aesthetic Medicine prior to becoming a Physician Assistant student at UCLA in 2004. I worked at a dermatology office in Beverly Hills and was able to observe some of the Botox® clinical trials taking place as well as several dermal filler procedures. Then during PA school, I did a Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery rotation as well as a Dermatology rotation and got even more interested in the aesthetic side of medicine.
After graduating PA school in 2008 I actually went with my roommate to her first Botox appointment and just so happened to be interviewed on the spot when I told her injector that I had just graduated and was interested in the field of Aesthetics! Talk about fate!
So, that’s when my career in Aesthetic Medicine began and almost 10 years later, I’m even more passionate about this field and am truly committed to the beauty of building confidence through cosmetic medicine.
