As with all our other services, we can adjust microneedling for acne scars to fit your unique needs. Multiple treatments may be required to obtain maximum results, but some patients experience their desired outcome after just one treatment.

Microneedling is considered a safe treatment for most people. Because the device does not use any substance (unless requested), and the microchannels created by the device are generally shallow and easily healed by the body, there are few risks involved. Common side effects are mild tenderness, redness, and skin peeling which usually resolve in a few days. It’s important to see a specialist for this procedure to maximize safety, comfort, and results.
Most people who seek a noninvasive treatment for skin blemishes are good candidates to undergo a microneedling procedure. Those who are currently on certain oral or topical medications, even those for dermatologic purposes, may not be good candidates for microneedling. If you are uncertain of your candidacy, a determination can be made during consultation.
