Each product we use in the Restylane line is FDA-approved. Since they are composed of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the human body, it is largely considered safe for most adults 21 and over.
Adults, 18 years of age or older, in good overall health wishing to address age-related issues, or seeking a noninvasive means of enhancement are good candidates to receive Restylane fillers. If you experienced a reaction to similar products in the past, or take blood thinners, you should not receive these injectables. Mid-face volume loss occurs naturally as you age, partly due to the decline of elasticity in your skin. Hyaluronic acid break down results in sagging skin and deeper wrinkles and folds. These include nasolabial folds (dubbed “smile lines” or “laugh lines”), marionette lines, and downturned lips referred to as “wrinkles of sadness”. These effects are further compounded by normal facial expressions. Restylane-L, Lyft, Refyne, Defyne, or a combination of, are suitable for addressing these concerns.
